The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to Great Strickland near Penrith, at around 10am on Sunday, where a woman had fallen from a horse. The GNAAS doctor-led trauma team assessed and treated the 44-year-old for a back and facial injury before she was flown to Carlisle’s Cumberland Infirmary within 13 minutes. .
